So my children have been sick for the lat three weeks and my immune system has finally given in. I am now sick. I hate it. I have been thinking in order to make really nice furniture I need two more tools. I need a lathe to make legs for chairs and tables and I need a planner/ jointer. I also would like to buy a gun. but I guess that can wait till I have deployed and come back by then I should have lots of extra cash. But might not as we are trying to save up a lot of cash in order to try and go bum around the world.
I wonder how much it would cost to live in china for a few months.

Hmmm. Good question. You could live in China for any amount, depending on the quality of life you need. But just as an FYI, averave monthly rent for an expat house is around 4-10 grand. YES, $4,000-$7,000 monthly. That's why most people wait for a company to send them. But you could possibly look for homestudy programs (I'm sure you can find one that will allow your two kids too?). I've heard of those. Google it. I don't have any info personally, but it's worth a good google if you want to run with it.
Some programs let you live and eat at their house for free with the exchange that you teach their children an hour of english a day. Just like the Martin Family in JiaYi. I'd go that route if I were you.
